An example of Power Saving  

The Planetary gear box is over 30% more efficient than warm gear. However, even if a power saving of 20% is taken, the power saving in case of a 20 H.P. Motor would be as worked out below:

  • Power Saving = 20 H.P. x 0.746 watts x 0.8 (Motor Efficiency) x 20% = 2.3872 KW per hour.


  • Power Saving for 24 hours = 2.3872 KW x 24 = 57.2928 KW


  • Power Saving per year = 57.2928 KW x 340 = 19,480 KW (Consisting 340 working days)

    As such, saving of power in a year is nearly equal to the cost of the planetary gear whereas the customer continues to enjoy the benefits, over the years.
